The story of a Wedding Photographer

A small flame of inspiration- A long time admirer of the visual arts, I began with my longtime hobby of oil painting, learning how to replicate lighting on canvas and various techniques used in still life. I fell deeply in love with renaissance art and impressionism. Works of Van Gogh quickly astounded me with their pure simplistic genius and raw emotion that you would get just by glancing at a painting.

Photography on the other hand came more by chance and eventually became a natural progression over time. I first started out photographing nature and landscapes, and continued my love for photography, inside the studio with portraiture. I found that I began to generate social media followers and eventually requests for photo sessions and weddings. My training in photography is backed with many master classes and many hours of relentless dedicated study of the art to back the creative expression behind the photos I create. The way I see it is: if you love something so deeply that you are willing to spend countless hours learning it just for the enjoyment and happiness that it brings you, then it could possibly become your dream job with a little hard work to switch gears into business mode.

"There is nothing that brings me more joy than to know that an artistically crafted photo of a couple is hanging on the wall of their home and that I had captured that memory for them"

Equipped with a passion for this art and the motivational spirit to seek greater challenges, wedding photography soon became the niche that I fell into in the photography world. There is something truly gratifying about shooting weddings unlike anything else. Every couple’s day is a new story to tell because no two weddings are ever the same. There is almost always a wonderful vibe and genuine moments of happiness when two people commit selflessly to each other in a sacred lifelong partnership. I like to focus on that feeling that fuels my spirit and guides this work that I do, in sharing moments with people on their happiest days and delivering those captured memories through my camera.

" Photography pushed to the limit can become a fine art that provides a relentless challenge, in pursuit of your own, personal, professional development and growth. The overall, creative experience and artistic expressions are what make the photos and final presentations in this field, such a powerful medium"

The challenge- On the other hand wedding photography is probably the most demanding and critical kind of photography work out there. There is no reshoot, you have to get it right the first time and if you miss an important moment it is totally gone forever. I consider the work an ongoing challenge which I love, that “keeps me on my toes,” where everything needs to be captured perfectly, in one day, and every second is critical. I am the kind of person that enjoys and welcomes a good challenge.

" I aim to recreate the entire experience, including genuine, heartfelt emotions and reactions, through my photos, and deliver a stunning, final product"

In retrospective- When I look back and reflect on all of my work, I have always enjoyed working with couples because getting to know the client and have strong personal interactions is exceptionally important to me and helps me to tell their stories better through pictures. My clients are grateful, at the end of the day, that I've captured their happiest moments.

I am eternally seeking new opportunities for artistic growth, and I continuously challenge myself, never satisfied, always pursuing that unachievable goal of perfection. I am very honored by the responsibility that I am given by my clients, to participate in such an important life event, and share my work with them so that the moments can last an entire lifetime.
